TAFE Western TVET Student Scholarships
A scholarship of up to $2,000 is available for a student who has progressed from a TVET course at school, to a TAFE Western course at Certificate III level or above.
TAFE Western TVET Student Scholarship is offered on a semester basis for a continuing full time and part time student. The scholarship is available to assist with fees and related study expenses.
Apply now for the scholarship that is available in Semester 1, 2011. The successful applicant will be notified as soon as practicable
For Semester 2, 2011 applications close on 27 May, 2011 and the successful applicant will be advised by 17 June 2011.

Be sure to explain why you want to study that course and why you feel you would be a worthy recipient of a scholarship. TAFE Western would also want to know about your career ambitions, your motivations and your achievements.
It is important to attach information that will support your application, especially if it demonstrates that you are a well-rounded person who can contribute to the community.
Selection Criteria for TAFE Western Scholarships
- Applicants must have studied a TVET course while at school and intending to continue their study at TAFE Western at a Certificate 3 level or above.
- Applicants may apply for more than one scholarship but will be eligible to hold only one scholarship at a time.
- All TAFE Western Scholarships are dependent on the applicant being accepted into a course relevant to the scholarship so it is also important to check the entry requirements for the intended course.
- Applicants must be commencing as either full-time or part-time students, in the semester for which the scholarship applies.
- An applicant must be an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident.
- Applicants must demonstrate they are experiencing barriers to learning, either financial, social or geographic.
