TAFE Western Scholarships
TAFE Western is committed to creating education and training opportunities and offers a number of scholarships to assist people who may be experiencing barriers to their learning.
TAFE Western Student Scholarships are offered on a semester basis for continuing full time and part time students. The scholarships are available to assist with fees and related study expenses.
Apply now for scholarships available in Semester 1 and 2, 2013. Successful applicants will be notified as soon as practically possible.
TAFE Western Scholarships
TAFE Western offers scholarships of up to $2,000 each for students who have previously studied at TAFE Western and are enrolled for a course at Certificate III level or above.

TAFE Western Aboriginal Student Scholarships
Two scholarships, each of up to $2,000, for Aboriginal students who have previously studied at TAFE Western and are enrolled for a course at Certificate III level or above. Click here for more information.
TAFE Western TVET Student Scholarship
A scholarship of $2,000 for a student who has progressed from a TVET course at school, to a TAFE Western course at Certificate III level or above. Click here for more information.
TAFE Western Aboriginal Teaching Scholarships
Scholarships are available for Aboriginal people who would like to become a teacher at TAFE Western. Each scholarship provides free tuition to complete Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Click here for more information.
Scholarships from other sources
The following scholarships are offered to eligible students studying at TAFE Western. The application processes and selection criteria for each of these differs from that listed above.
BBM Youth Scholarships and BBM Aboriginal Youth Scholarship
These scholarships for varying amounts (usually under between $100 and $1,000) are available at any time for TAFE Western students aged 15 to 23 years and who are facing financial barriers to completing their study. Click here for more information.
Mick Young Scholarships
TAFE Western also offers the ‘Mick Young Scholarships’ to assist TAFE Western students who live in Condobolin, Forbes, or Parkes. Scholarship amounts vary according to the applicant’s circumstances.

NSW Youth Scholarships
Scholarships are aimed to encourage and support young social housing residents to complete their higher school certificate or TAFE equivalent.
Application forms are available on the Housing NSW website: www.housing.nsw.gov.au.
CSU ‘TAFE to University’ Scholarship program
Charles Sturt University (CSU) offers three scholarships worth $2,500 for students studying through TAFE NSW Western Institute and who are entering their first session of study at CSU in 2013.
The TAFE to University scholarship is open to students who have completed a TAFE Diploma or Advanced Diploma (articulation students are also eligible).
Selection is not just based on academic achievement, students with extensive industry experience or financial hardship are also eligible.
