Whether you come to a TAFE campus every day or do your study via TAFE Western Connects and only visit the campus occasionally or even, not at all TAFE Western Librarians want to help you with your study needs.

Some of the things we can help you with are:

  • Finding the right resources quickly and efficiently. These could be books or eResources via our huge archive database. TAFE Western Libraries subscribe to millions of eResources that are relevant to the subjects TAFE Western Institute offers. 
  • Many of the courses have Subject Guides so go straight to LibGuides our subject guide for a variety of resources specific to your course.  We are creating new subject guides for courses all the time.
  • TAFE Western Librarians provide Information Literacy tutorials either online or in the Library. Learn how to Search the Internet more effectively so you don't waste your valuable time, a skill you will have for this course and for the rest of your life.  Learn how to research for assignments, the steps to answering a question and writing the essay or report.
  • Your Local TAFE Western Library provides quiet study areas, group study areas, computers, laptops, wireless access for all your portable devices, laminating and binding machines, printing and photocopying.

A new service that TAFE Western is offering is Your Tutor where you can talk to someone seven days, 6 nights per week service for help with study areas such as writing essays, higher end maths for your course.
