Conservation Earthworks

Conservation earthworks offer numerous courses across NSW. Our courses are run across the greater western areas of NSW, from Tibooburra to Broken Hill.

Our dedicated Earthworks Team based at the Orange Rural Skills Centre are on hand to help you make the right choice about which course to undertake and are available Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm to answer any questions or enquiries.

We offer WorkCover accredited courses, including Certificate III Rangeland Conservation - Load Shifting. This course includes the following licences: excavator, front-end loader, backhoe loader and skid steer loader. Training is conducted using a 3 tonne tracked excavator, articulated 4WD front-end loader, industrial loader backhoe and a skidsteer loader (bobcat).

Classes are held over 10 days, but depending on the number of licences you choose to do, and your previous experience, this timeframe may be shorter. Usually, each licence takes approximately three days to complete.

If you would like information about WorkCover courses, dogging operations, slewing mobile crane operations, dozer operations or becoming a forklift driver, please contact the Earthworks Team on 02 6393 2680 or email earthworks@tafensw.edu.au
