Shearing at TAFE Western
TAFE Western offers innovative and exciting courses to support the Animal Fibre Harvesting industries and the people who work in them.
The trainers (coaches) are leaders in their field and have been instrumental in developing training techniques and methodology that is currently used in a number of programs. The coaches are not only trainers, but are recognised as excellent role models and mentors to those entering the industry.
Shearing courses are offered at Certificate II, III and IV levels and Wool Handling at Certificate II & III level. These coures are offered across the western region, either on-site at TAFE or in workplaces. Courses can be tailored to suit individual businesses.

TAFE Western has established strong partnerships with industry organisations, including Australian Wool Innovations, The Shearing Contractors Association of Australia, NSW Stud Merino Breeders Association, The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW plus many more.
