Vocational Access

Melissa Hurry-Sinclair and Institute Director, Kate Baxter

Vocational Access provides special programs to help people progress towards further study and employment. The programs are tailored for those who need further study to progress their careers and those who want to enter or re-enter work or study.

Courses are available for people who wish to:

  • gain a Year 12 qualification to enter higher education or obtain a more skilled position in the workforce
  • improve their written and oral communication skills to achieve a work promotion
  • improve their English language skills
  • enhance their employability skills including literacy, numeracy or maths
  • enrol in a vocational course but lack the confidence or skills
  • access disability support to complete a vocational course

Tailored training to develop and strengthen foundation skills can be integrated with other vocational training to provide a valuable combination of skills.
