Work placement means students are required, as a part of the course, to complete a specified number of hours in the work place.
Workplacement is compulsory in the following Industry Curriculum Framework Courses:
- Automotive
- Business Services
- Construction
- Electrotechnology
- Hospitality
- Human Services
- Entertainment
- Information Technology
- Metal and Engineering
- Primary Industries
- Retail
- Tourism
Work placement is compulsory in the following Board Endorsed Courses:
- Animal Studies (240 hour course)
- Beauty Therapy - Make up (240 hour course)
- Beauty Therapy - Nails (240 hour course)
- Children's Services Certificate III
- Computer Aided Drafting
- Hairdressing (240 hour course)
- Health Services Assistance
Workplacement is compulsory in the following locally designed TVET courses:
- Opal Cutting and Polishing
- Resources and Infrastructure (Mining)
- Workplace Communication
Workplacement is strongly recommended in the following TVET courses:
- Design Fundamentals
- Property Services
- Screen and Media
- Visual Arts and Contemporary Crafts
