Orange Sustainable Living Week
Orange Sustainable Living Week will be held from 11 to 19 September 2010. The activities have been planned to help people understand and take action in relation to environmental sustainability. Orange Rotary Club is organising the week with the support of other community groups and TAFE Western.

Program of events
Saturday 11 September:
- Orange Farmers Markets - TAFE Western Green Skills on the Road display
- Finals of the district schools sustainable living debating competition,
- Official opening of Orange Sustainable Living Week and ECCO community awards.
Sunday 12 September
- Car Fuel Saver Economy Run organised by the Gnoo Blass Classic Car Club and the Rotary Club of Orange
- Explore Orange on a bicycle ride organised by the Orange Bicycle Club.
Tuesday 14 to Friday 17
- 2000 school children from 14 schools in Orange and district are booked into to attend the Questacon Science Squad sustainability and energy workshops at the newly completed TAFE Western Green Skills Trade Training Centre. This event provides an opportunity for all students to learn about sustainability and sustainable living without any cost.
This activity has been organised by the Rotary Club of Orange in cooperation with TAFE Western Green Skills Trade Education Centre
Wednesday 15 September
- Central West Master Builders Association meeting and seminar on green building design organised by Regional Development Australia Central West and hosted by TAFE Western
Saturday 18 September
- Sustainability Expo and open day at the newly completed TAFE Green Skills Trade Training Centre on Forest Road. This event is organized by TAFE Western and the Rotary Club of Orange.
Sunday 19 September.
- Environmentally Concerned Citizens of Orange (ECCO) sustainable homes and garden tours
